F.A.Q.

frequently asked questions ...

Am I invited to this?

The group is open to single adults and young families who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior or are seeking knowledge of Him, and who live in the vicinity of Trinity PCA.  You don't have to attend Trinity to join our group.

Is this a substitute for my existing small groups?

Absolutely not.  We don't want anybody to quit any of their existing small groups to join this group.  While other groups typically focus on Bible study and worship, our focus will be Christian fellowship.  Of course, all small groups have some aspect of each of those traits, but the general focus is different from group to group.  We would like you to think of this time as a time of self-reflection and to fellowship with your friends, both old and new.

Is this going to take a lot of my time?

The study will be one night a month (the last Saturday of the month), for about 2 hours.  There is no book to read beforehand, nor homework to do afterwards.  We'll even arrange for daycare for those with kids!

Do I need to study for this?

No.  There is no book to read or versus to study.  Just show up!  You can come and just "veg-out", or offer your experiences.  It's up to you.

What can I expect to gain out of this?

Our goal is to provide an atmosphere where young Chrisitian adults can come to a safe-place and both give and receive emotional and Biblical support.  Our goal is that you come away feeling energized, ready to tackle life's challenges in the next month.

But I have kids!  Should I get a sitter?

No, baby-sitting will be provided.  We are asking for $3.00 to $5.00 (cash only) per child contribution per night for the sitters, but no more that $12.00 total.  Non-parents may voluntarily contribute what they feel comfortable as well.  Sitting will either be held on-site, or with 1 or 2 miles of the meeting, depending on our location that night.

How will our time be spent?

Our time will be broken out into introductions, announcements and games, followed by a time of eating, then closing with devotional and prayer time.

Goal for total meeting time: approx. 2 hours
